Moby Wrap Baby Carrier Designs Owl

31xzsFeW6DL. SL75 Moby Wrap Baby Carrier Designs Owl

The design of the MobyTM Wrap uses your entire back, as well as your shoulders, to carry the weight of your baby. Unlike other carriers, which have narrow straps or go across one shoulder, the MobyTM Wrap is a wide piece of fabric that is wrapped over both shoulders. It is amazingly comfortable and easy to wear. There are no buckles, snaps or other fasteners. It is easy to adjust the fit of your MobyTM Wrap by varying how tightly you wrap yourself and your baby.

3 Stars Snugly and comfortable..too hot for summer!
Currently I use a Maya Wrap that I really like….However, I thought it might be nice to have a different type of wrap for variety. The Moby seemed to be “perfect”, but the material is heavy and hot. It also is very snug on me and my daughter only likes it when she’s sleepy/sleeping. Otherwise my curious little Princess prefers the Maya because she can look around over my shoulder. I did try the “sling” method with the Moby….seriously there’s so much material and it’s difficult to adjust.

I have friends who LOVE their Moby..for me I’ll stick with my Maya and try the Moby in the Fall when it’s cooler.

5 Stars The Moby changed my life
My little one needed to be held for pretty much the first 2 months of her life. I tried using my Ergo carrier with the insert to regain freedom with my hands and arms, but it’s just too hot in the summer to wear. In desperation I bought the Moby because of all the possible baby positions it boasted. I figured my daughter would at least like one of them. The first time I put her in the wrap, she calmed right down. Now at 4 months she calms at the sight of the wrap and falls asleep within seconds of getting in. The Moby wrap is like having an “off switch” for my little one and has become a part of our bedtime routine. I also love the owl print!

5 Stars Can’t live without Moby!!
I’ve had a Moby wrap since my daughter was born in Dec. of ’09. She was a very tiny baby and I loved that I could put her in it all snuggled up just like she used to be when I was still pregnant with her. Since then, I’ve carried her in it to the store, the mall, the Zoo, brother’s t-ball games, Easter Egg hunts, you name it. She was being a fussy pants yesterday so I just put her in it and she was instantly calm. At almost 14 lbs, she’s not that heavy, but carry her around for a while and your back will feel it! Not with the Moby. The weight is disributed so evenly you really feel so comfy carrying a baby around. There are so many holds. I’ve used almost all of them including the breastfeeding hold! I haven’t used any of the holds for back carrying yet because she’s not quite ready. I just used the sling carry yesterday at WalMart and loved how easy it was to get her in and out for a quick run in. Just put your Moby on before you leave the house and stick your baby in when you arrive at your destination. I recommend getting a neutral or dark color if you’re gonna be out and about with it. I bought pink first And felt a little conspicuous in public. Then I bought black and I guess if I don’t have her in it people just think it’s some kind of new trend! I truly couldn’t live without my Moby! It’s a wonderful way to bond with your baby!

5 Stars Couldn’t live without it!
This is, quite simply, the BEST baby carrier product I have tried! It is comfortable, allows me to be really close with my baby, and it distributes the weight so evenly that my baby actually feels lighter than when I just hold him in my arms. I wish I had tried this one with my first baby instead of slings and backpacks.

It allows you to comfortably “hands free” which really comes in handy with an active 3 year old running around.

I wish I could buy one for every mother-to-be. I feel it is a must have and I never leave the house with out it. It has come in handy for grocery shopping, parties, walks around the neighborhood, cleaning house, and even just sitting around holding my baby.

BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!! You will not be sorry! In fact, my sister is giving me another one, and I am thinking of buying an extra one to keep in the hubby’s care/

4 Stars SOOO Comfortable and EASY to use!!
I own the almond blossom Moby Wrap. I purchased this 1 because it’s treated with UV protection, since I am using it alot this summer I thought it would help. The Moby wrap is soooo easy to use. They say with practice it will come easier and it does. My little one lovess this. He has fallen asleep and stayed asleep for hours. He is a hard one to burp and for some reason when he’s in the wrap he burps and this is atleast an hr after feeding him!! I did not give it a 5 because it is a little to thick for hot summer days so I will be using it more towards the fall outdoors. However, I can’t wait to use it at the grocery store icon smile Moby Wrap Baby Carrier Designs Owl

Graco 1 Second Ear Thermometer

User Ratings and Reviews

1 Star Worse than no thermometer at all
Terrible. Registers absurdly low no matter what. I am going to see if I can get my money back on this. What a waste!

1 Star Junk
Never had consistent readings and there was a sharp blemish in the plastic. I need to contact the manufacturer.

1 Star dont buy
This thermometer registard a temp of 96.5 on my child when they were burning up, I used my other thermometer under the arm that takes several minutes and my child had a temp of 103.6. I have tried this several times and still this one reads much lower. I have read, read and read the instructions and follow to a T and still the same results. Spend more money and get a more reliable one.

Baby Bjorn Baby Air Carrier Grey White

5159P6GEXYL. SL75 Baby Bjorn Baby Air Carrier Grey White

Keep comfort close at hand with Baby Bjorn’s lightweight mesh carrier.

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars We use it
This works well for different torso lengths, and grows with the child. It claims to be cooler than the regular version, but it’s still pretty warm – I don’t recommend for long periods in hot weather. Also, don’t think you’ll go for long hikes with this- baby’s inner thighs and butt will get sore after a while with any of these type carriers. We did do shorter hikes using this from 6-9mo old. We used it for our first until she was about a year, then gave it to a friend for hers, now were using for our second– pretty durable. Adjustment directions are on the inside of the product so you’ll never lose them. It’s very quick and easy to adjust. Baby LOVED going shopping in it from about 3-6 months, once she could face forward. I’m happy we bought it.

3 Stars Bjorn Air/Classic vs. Synergy/Active vs. Comfort vs. Ergo
I’m a bit compulsive so we own quite a few carriers. For the purposes of this review, I’ll skip slings, and stick to backpack style shoulder strap carriers. Specifically the Bjorn line and the Ergo.

Ergo: The most comfortable of the bunch! While it can get a little toasty for both you and baby on warm days, both wife and I felt that we could wear it just about forever. Unlike most backpack carriers, the Ergo has a waist belt on which most of the baby’s weight rests. Those of you who’ve used a hiking backpack know exactly how much this helps. For those who don’t, there’s a padded band that sits just above your hips. When worn correctly most of the baby’s weight is distributed across your hips greatly reducing the stress/load on your shoulders and back. Unfortunately for us, our little monkey recently decided that she must face out, and the Ergo only allows them to face in. So it’s been sitting in unused in the closet for several weeks.

Bjorn Air/Classic: Smallest, lightest and easiest to use. We have the “Air” model, and the special fabric actually does work to keep you and your baby cool. It’s my preferred carrier for quick jaunts and hot days. But the wife and nanny will wear it only if they have to. It is by far the least comfortable carrier we own. The shoulder straps are unpadded and relatively thin so they really dig into your shoulders. I find it merely a bit annoying, but the wife says she can’t wear it for more than 5 or 10 minutes before it really starts to hurt.

Bjorn Synergy/Active: Basically the Air/Classic but with wider, padded shoulder straps and a lumbar support piece. While a little more comfortable than the Air/Classic, it is still a far cry from the comfort of the Ergo. While the lumbar support is okay, the fundamental problem remains: all the weight is still placed on the shoulders.

Bjorn Comfort: The newest Bjorn, and by far the most comfortable. It has very wide and nicely padded straps, and like the Ergo, the Comfort has a padded waist band! While it isn’t quite as comfortable as the Ergo, it comes close. I have used it for multi-hour walks with no back or shoulder discomfort. And unlike the Ergo, baby can face in or out.

A couple minor complaints. First it is quite bulky. Given the way its constructed, its actually much bulkier than even the Ergo, so it’s not the easiest thing to stuff in a bag/under the stroller. Second is that as of yet you cannot buy additional bibs. One bib is included, but given how much we use the thing it’s nice to have a second (note the Bjorn bibs currently sold are NOT COMPATIBLE with the Comfort). Plus while it doesn’t seem as warm as the Ergo, you and baby will be plenty sweaty on hot days.

All these carriers seem very well made, and with the sole exception of the Air, I feel will last a long, long time (while so far so good, I have some reservations about the long run durability of the fabric shoulder straps of the Air). Currently we mostly use the Comfort, but I still bust out the Air on hot days or for short jaunts and all in all we are quite happy with the carrier situation. But we still have hope that one day our little one will deign to face in so we can bust out the Ergo again.

—ERGO—

Pros: Most comfortable

Cons: Baby can only face in. A little warm on hot days.

—Bjorn Air/Classic—

Pros: Easiest to get baby into/out of. Air is fabulous for hot days. Smallest and lightest (great for packing).

Cons: Least comfortable. Some concern about durability of Air fabric.

—Bjorn Synergy/Active—

Pros: More comfortable than Air/Classic

Cons: Still no waist strap!

—Bjorn Comfort—

Pros: Comfort (almost as good as the Ergo)

Cons: A little warm on hot days. Can’t purchase replacement/extra bibs. Bulkiest of all four carriers.

4 Stars Great overall product
I bought this carrier because my son likes to face out, and the carrier that we had does not support that. Also, he was born on the smaller side, and Baby Bjorn carriers are made to carry babies as small as 8 lbs, so we could use it comfortably sooner. My only complaint is that the shoulder straps are not very padded, so as the baby gets heavier it gets a little harder on your shoulders (this is why I gave it only 4 stars).

It was delivered in a timely manner and the product was new as stated.

4 Stars Baby gift
I purchased this for a baby gift. Parents had registered for this at a store and the price on Amazon was much better even after having to pay for expidited shipping.

5 Stars BEST WARM WEATHER CARRIER
We used this carrier while visiting Thailand for a month in 95+ Humid days. It was so conducive to traveling and touring the city and countryside. Our little girl (4months) comfortably slept while we visited the palaces and temples; walked 4 miles each day; rode the train without limiting my mobility or overheating baby or mom. We used the our BabyBjorn instead of a stroller and were so thankful we did. BabyBjorn can go so many places that strollers can’t.

It isn’t bulky, it breathes well, washes easily, and baby can easily be removed while sleeping and put into a crib.
