5 Stars Best. Thing. Ever.
I purchased this as an option for my busy family. I have a four and a half year old, and it seemed like whenever I had to feed the baby, he needed me too- but of course my hands were literally busy. I ordered this because my six month old does NOT like the Podee system, and needed something to be my ‘third arm’ some days. This does a great job of keeping the bottle steady and angled slightly to prevent swallowing air. He enjoys the friendly face, and he can take breaks and pop it back into his mouth as he chooses. Without it, we would be fumbling with blankets, dropping bottles, and generally making a mess. It is a lifesaver at restaurants when I have to feed the baby AND cut up my older son’s food. When my baby is too big to ride safely in his carseat in the car, I may still use it as a portable feeding seat with the Bottle Sling around the house (or to Grandma’s) until he can hold it all on his own. I would love to find more uses for it!

Iam very happy with this awesome sling .I only have one Baby but I also have an older child with special needs so therefore I’m not always able to hold my baby while feeding , its easy to use and perfectly safe .

You should only leave a coment if you bought or used this product nobody had asked for your opinion !!!!You dont know what it feels like unless you been there .I have no family to help me and my husband is in a warzone while i have to care for our children by myself but Iam not complaining just trying to make life a little easier !!!

5 Stars A lifesaver
This product was a lifesaver. My husband and I have twins which we kept on the same feeding schedule for the first 9 months. This enabled one parent to feed two babies at the same time. We just set them in their car seats, arranged both seats so they were facing the adult and sat on the floor with them until they were done. When they decided they had had enough they would just push the bottle out of their mouth with their tongue until they got old enough to swat it away (which they then turned into a game). As with any bottle propping, you need to use some common sense (don’t leave the room, don’t start working on something that will divert your attention) but this product was great and made our first year MUCH easier and more pleasant.

This product is not safe. There is a risk of a baby choking because the milk keeps coming out even when they are finished. Hold your babies Moms!

2 Stars Bottle dripping a problem
I have twin 6 month olds and loved the idea of this product. Sorry to report that my babies got soaked. They are not great at holding their own bottles yet and the bottles swing away and drip all over them.

5 Stars Can’t live without this thing!
We just had our 2nd baby and have now used the swaddle in this brand for both. We have tried others, but they don’t work as well. I don’t think we would get any sleep without this!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

5 Stars Awesome Swaddler
Absolutely LOVE this. When my son was born 5 years ago this was something that we never heard of and never used, and had a hard time alays getting him to sleep. We would swaddle over and over and over and he would always get out of it and there was little to no sleep some nights.

Our daughter was born this last year and WOW, I bought this on a whim and based on a lot of the reviews that were good. I was happy to have been a proud owner of 4 of these the last few months and don’t think my daughter would sleep any better without this. She does find her way out of it sometimes, but she doesn’t seem to mind. I have tried the cotton flannel and microfiber and love the flexability of the microfiber material and it is SOFT!! I literally used every one of these up to the point of no more velcro was left to swaddle anymore!

If you are thinking of buying…DO IT! This is a life saver!

4 Stars Easy to use
I absolutely love the Kiddopotamus SwaddleMe line. Although if you’re looking for something light weight, I would just stick to the 100% cotton vs the flannel. The flannel is a bit stiff and doesn’t stretch as much or feel as soft as the regular cotton SwaddleMe.

3 Stars Poor Material
I have another SwaddleMe in yellow which is in a better material (slight stretchy) but this flannel looks worn from Day1. its so crumpled after wash. Doesn’t make sense to me to iron them for each use?! Its a good idea to swaddle newborns and having this is better than wrapping babies with just the receiving blankets when you’ll probably have to keep wrapping as they break lose so often. but this size didn’t even last me for 1 month. Just too small for my bb. get this but maybe not this material. and there’s no point having more than 2 as they out-grow really fast, have just enough to rotate between washes and through your bb’s 1st month and soon it becomes a “keep for future” or “hand-me-down”.

4 Stars Good, but we only used it for 2 weeks
We bought this based on the recommendation from a friend saying that this was a true “live safer” to get her baby boy to fall asleep at night. We used this on our baby girl for approx. 2 weeks and stopped using it altogether. Nice product, but we found that our child didn’t like to be swaddled to tightly and instead this actually agrivated her and kept her up at night unless we had her arms totally pinned into the Kiddopatamus. Each kid is different I suppose.

When we first brought her home and the first two weeks afterwards the Kiddopatamus did help to calm them and beat us trying to swaddler her with just using a blanket.

5 Stars Best blankets
I got these because my 2 year old has them and LOVES them. They’re not so hot or bulky that he’s stifled and sweaty. They do keep him warm, and they’re great for summer and spring. In the winter I use it as a sheet and add a blanket or put it on him when he’s wearing thick pjs. Great for swaddling the baby, and breathable so I’m not constantly worrying. They also have thicker, larger dream blankets for winter or as they get older. They’re amazing, too

2 Stars Too loose for swaddling
My baby kicked out of these blankets in less than a minute. Good lightweight blanket, but disappointing when used for swaddling purposes.

These blankets are wonderful! I had read many great reviews about them but was still a bit skeptical especially given the higher price point. However, I was wonderfully surprised and haven’t stopped using them. They are extra large and the perfect size for swaddling – not like other receiving blankets I have. Plus, the lightweight fabric makes them perfect for the summer weather. When I dress my daughter in dresses, I find the air conditioning indoors to be a bit cold for her bare legs. These blankets are wonderful to wrap her up in to keep her legs warm but not over heat her. I highly recommend them!

Love love love these! I got 2, & that seems to be plenty for us. Love them for putting over the car seat when in the car so the sun won’t come in, but my little girl still has ventilation. They are really big which is exceptionally nice!

1 Star Dangerous for Mobile Sleepers!
I used this swaddle with my first child and loved it. Naturally, I started using it with my second child. This morning I heard her crying and found it wrapped around her neck. She is 3 months old and a “mobile sleeper” who likes chewing on her fingers. She had scooted to the end of the bed and had her arms through the part that has the Velcro. The top part, that still had the Velcro attached, was wrapped around my daughter’s neck. As she moved farther down the bed, it got tighter around her neck. Thankfully, I was already awake because of her movement and cooing. So, when she started screaming so suddenly, I knew something was wrong.

4 Stars Almost perfect, one nasty flaw
This product worked well for me with two babies, and I’m sure the next baby will love it too. I don’t mind that the fabric stretches a bit. But the one sad flaw is that the little hole for the seatbelt is only in the back! You are supposed to swaddle the baby AFTER you put him in the carseat/swing/other seat! This was a real problem. Imagine baby sleeping happily in the swing or bassinette, and it comes time to pick up/drop off another child at school. There’s no way to get baby into the carseat without waking him up. Or another common scenario with my children was that baby would fall asleep while breastfeeding (swaddled), and then would need to sleep in a seat or swing because of acid reflux. Again, no way. I’d be stuck holding the little guys upright for 15-20 minutes until I was sure they wouldn’t have reflux while lying down. So sad and so unnecessary. With a matching hole in the front it would have been easy.

Just as described. Works great in the summer when the fleece is too hot. Perfect size for 4 months and up. My son seems to like it too. He falls asleep in about 5 minutes when we wrap him up.

5 Stars Once you get the sizing right, can I give it 10 stars?
This product saved my sanity!!! We have two twin boys that absolutely must have their arms totally locked down to get any chance of sleep. We were using blankets to swaddle at first, but they kept “escaping” and then needed to be re-wrapped and then calmed back down to get them back to sleep, nightmare! We found this product and that first night we used them they only got up when they were hungry! Of course that does not mean everyone who uses these will instantly have that happen because we all know there are a multitude of reasons why babies get up, but this did exactly what we needed to keep their little arms from flailing while they slept and waking them up. The sizing can be tricky here. They have three sizes, preemie, small and large. Our little guys were five pounds when they were born, so the preemie size was a no brainier, but they did not fit properly into the small size till they hit eight or nine pounds. The large size (which we bought ahead of time to have when we need them) says they start at 14 pounds, but now my little guys are around 15 pounds and the large size is still a little loose on the larger boned of my two boys and it way too big for my smaller boned son. I would almost recommend the preemie size for any newborn under 8 pounds.

As far as the functionality of these wraps they are very versatile. You can undo the bottom and change a diaper w/o releasing the arms. You can also open, but not totally remove, the bottom and use the opening in the backside to strap them in their car seats while still swaddled (this worked wonderfully for us when transferring sleeping babies from a car seat to a crib w/o disturbing them too much). The material does stretch with use slightly and tighten up in the wash (similar to how jeans shrink up after washing them then ease back out when you have had them on a few minutes) but if you have the right size this should not be too big of an issue as the Velcro fasteners have a larger area to fasten to so you just pull it as tight or loose as you need. It is also very easy to leave one hand out when your baby wants access to his/her fingers and thumb. Our boys are three months now and have just started sucking their thumbs (self soothing is such a blessing), but if we leave both hands out the one they are not sucking just flails around and keeps them up still. So when they go down their left hand is out (both are little lefties) and their right hand is firmly tucked in the swaddle.

I looooove this product and would not go through the infancy stage without it!
