YES! It is possible to hold two babies in these carriers. In fact, it’s the easiest way I can imagine putting that much weight on your body. Since slings hug the baby to your body, your center of gravity is minimally changed – reducing the pressure to the back normally experienced by picking the baby up.  Strapping the baby to you puts the baby right where she prefers to be, minimizing the number of times you need to bend over and pick her up.

Benefits:

  • Uses the entire back and shoulders to the distribute weight
  • Wide piece of fabric to wrap over both shoulders
  • Keeps baby warm while freeing both hands
  • Develops a strong and secure attachment to parents
  • Can be used for a preemie to 35 pounds child

AMAZING REVIEWS

Of the 274 customers who reviewed the Moby Wrap Original on Amazon.com, 184 gave it 5 of 5 stars while 53 gave it 4 stars.  Of the people who hated it, and gave it one star, it looks like most of them just called it one long useless piece of fabric that they couldn’t put on and manage.  I was intimidated at first as well, but after learning how to tie the wrap a few times and following some baby wearing tips from Dr. Sears, found here, I was very comfortable wearing my baby every way possible by the second week.

The wrap is long for a reason, and once the baby is wrapped there isn’t much excess fabric to worry about.  Any excess cloth can be tucked inside a pouch or used to wrap once more around your waist and tied off.  The softness and stretchiness of the Moby Wrap fabric makes it very comfortable.  And, your baby will love hearing your heartbeat as you walk around freely to do your thing.
